Executive Apartments in Cincinnati

An executive apartment in Cincinnati is a short-term apartment rental, available on a month to month basis, that is fully furnished with linens, basic utilities, appliances, and more.

Temporary housing rentals, such as executive apartments, allow executives a place to call home and relax while working in a different city during the week or for extended periods of time.  An executive rental takes care of all the details for an employee while in a different city so the employee can spend time working and relaxing in their surroundings.

Companies who utilize executive apartments save money as compared to luxurious, expensive hotel stays which charge higher rates for extended stays.  Furnished executive apartment rates are set at a 30 day minimum and have zero additional lodging taxes, often times saving companies up to twenty percent.   Rates can also be broken down into daily rates for easy comparison to hotel stays.

Privacy

When employees stay in executive apartments they can enjoy full privacy.  There is no reception to bother with or scheduling of arrival and departure.  They are free to come and go as they please with a set of their own, personal keys.

Spacious Apartments

Amenities

Ideal Situations for Furnished Apartment Rentals

There are certain times and situations in a person’s life making furnished apartments an ideal renting option.  Short-term rentals are ideal for employment or educational opportunities in different states, corporate trainings, emergency housing situations, home renovations, and more.  Furnished apartments can also simply offer a better option than hotels when you want a home away from home atmosphere.

The Benefits of Furnished Apartments

From cost to convenience, review the benefits to see if furnished apartments are the right fit for your current or future situation.

 1.  Short Lease Options

If you need a temporary place to stay with the amenities of home, a furnished apartment is a great choice for 30 days or more.  Most furnished apartments have a 30 day minimum stay quoted per day for easy comparison to hotel rates.  Leases for short term stays are typically shorter than traditional leases.  Renters don’t have to worry about committing to a lease they may or not break before transitioning to their next city.

2.  Home Like Atmosphere

For most people needing a quick place to stay in a short amount of time, the options are limited.  This typically results in an extended hotel stay which can take the tole on the tenant resulting in home sickness.  With a furnished apartment stay, you have the convenience of a hotel with the amenities of a home.  Furnished with all the items you want and need, your extended stay will be more pleasant and comfortable than a one-room hotel.

3.  Short Notice Availability

Similar to a hotel, furnished apartment options are available within short notice.  Since most companies cater towards executives, corporate furnished apartments understand the need of availability and quick turn around times.

4.  Reduce Stress Related Moving

Moving can be stressful, especially if unexpected.  Furnished apartments allow homeowners that are relocating time to pack their home, house hunt, and organize their lives and belongings while still living in their new city of choice comfortably.

5.  Save Money

Renting a furnished apartment can save you time and money on buying and planning furniture for your residence.  All the furniture you need for a comfortable extended stay is already available.  You can enjoy a cozy, decorated, personal space without having to purchase and arrange it yourself.

6.  Location, Location, Location

Furnished apartments are located in residential areas, yet convenient to shopping, restaurants, parks, convention centers, and major roadways for convenience to their renters.

7.  Cleanliness

Hotels give their staff limited time to clean rooms between each stay while furnished apartments have the leniency to spend more time and care with their cleaning habits.

8.  Entertainment Packages

Furnished apartments typically have more than a single tv with limited cable options than a standard hotel room.

9.  All-Inclusive

Furnished apartments come with all-inclusive pricing.  Up-selling, surprise fees or advertising charges are more than often not passed onto guests.

10.  Amenities

Units for extended stay options have more amenities to offer including new, modern furniture, fully equipped kitchens, washer and dryers, bed linens, high-speed internet, and quality bed linens.

11.  Spacious Units

Furnished apartments are generally larger in size compared to standard hotel rooms or suites.  The average hotel room size is 300 square feet, compared to furnished apartments which can range from 800 to 1,400 square feet.

12.  Cooking Options

If your away from home or in transition for long periods of time, you will quickly start to miss a home cooked meal.  Furnished apartments come fully equipped with kitchens allowing guests to cook their own meals on a daily basis.

The Ultimate Relocation Checklist

The ultimate checklist for relocating to Cincinnati.  Prepare for your move, big or small, with a timeline and moving tips to stay organized and stress-free.

4 to 6 Weeks Before Relocating

  • Purge – Prior to relocating, take the time to sort and purge unused items in every room of your current home.  Decide what items to keep or get rid of and if there are any that will require special packaging or care during your move.  Host a garage sale or donate any of your unwanted items to get rid of them before moving.
  • Arrange a moving company – Begin researching moving companies, if you haven’t already.  Don’t go with the first company that gives you a quote, do your research and compile a list before deciding on the best one for your relocation.  If moving across state lines, ensure the right requirements are in order.  Make arrangements with a moving company for the date of your relocation and et them know if you will need packing assistance or not.  Confirm all details with a written confirmation from the company.
  • Purchase Packing Materials – Once you have an idea of the amount of items you will be taking with you during your relocation, begin purchasing boxes and other packing supplies (tape, bubble wrap, permanent markers, etc.) you will need.
  • Get Change of Address Cards – Visit your local post office or change your address online at usps.gov.
  • Create a Moving Binder – Keep track of your relocation in a moving binder.  Stay organized while prepping for your move with receipts and estimates in one binder that is easily accessible.
  • Transfer School Records – If relocating with kids, request a transfer of their school records to your new school district.
  • Obtain Medical Records – Make arrangements with your health care providers to obtain or send medical records.

Two Weeks Before Relocating

  • Use Frozen or Perishable Goods – Begin using up things you’ve already purchased like frozen or perishable foods that won’t be making the move with you.
  • Start Packing – Begin packing your moving boxes with your most infrequently used items such as kitchen wear, books, winter or summer wardrobes (depending on the time of year and climate), holiday decor, etc.  Clearly label each moving box with the destination room and contents on the top and sides of the box to keep as organized as possible in your new home.  This will help you keep an inventory of your belongings before and after your relocation.  Keep valuables such as important documents and jewelry in a separate box that you will travel with personally.  It is a good idea to keep your mover’s estimate or anything else to do with your move here so they are easily accessible when you need them.
  • Organize a “Survival Closet” – Create and organize a “survival closet” that will house all things you need until the final move.  Include any cleaning supplies, moving materials, or snacks you’ll need up to the last day in your current home.
  • Schedule Disconnects – Begin disconnecting home utilities (gas, electric, water, etc) and scheduling connections in your new home.  When contacting current utility companies, arrange any refunds you may be available for
  • Cancel Services – Cancel any services or deliveries such as newspapers, cable television, pest control, cleaning or maintenance, and lawn services.
  • Make Work Arrangements – Arrange to be off work the day you are moving.
  • Empty Out Your Safety Deposit Box – You will more than likely be changing banks and need to clean out your safety deposit box before relocating.  Place any items from your safety deposit box in the box with your other personal belongings that will specifically be traveling with you.
  • Confirm Moving Arrangements – Contact the moving company to reconfirm date and times.

Week Before Relocating

  • Mail Change of Address Forms – Mail in your change of address forms.  If you are close to any of your neighbors or the new homeowner, you may want to provide them your new address in case any mail is sent to your old residence once you have moved.
  • Finish Up Cleaning and Packing – Finish up packing your home a few days before your actual move date.  Then pack individual suitcases with clothes and essentials you’ll need for a few days before and after your moving day.

Days Before Relocating

  • Clean the Refrigerator – Empty, clean, defrost, and dry your refrigerator at least 24 hours prior to your move date.
  • Get Out Cash – Be sure to have enough cash on hand during your relocation.  If you have not already, make payment arrangements with your moving company whether by credit card prior to the day or cashier’s check.  Don’t forget about tipping and any needs you may need day of.

Day of Relocation

  • Be Present – If you can’t physically be present the day of your move, make arrangements for someone you trust to be there when the movers arrive to ensure their arrival, walk them through the home, and give any special instructions.
  • Last Walkthrough – Before heading to your new city, do a final walk through of your current home to check for any last minute belongings, locked doors and windows, and turn your thermostat off.
  • Sign the Bill of Lading/Inventory – Once in your new home sign the bill of lading/inventory list before the movers leave and keep a copy for your records.

Conclusion

Print out the relocation checklist above to ease the stress of your move.  Contact HomeLinkCincinnati for all your Cincinnati relocation stay needs.

Do you Airbnb in Cincinnati?

Furnished Room for Rent Cincinnati

 “Hey, do you do Airbnb?”

At HomeLinkCincinnati, we receive these calls several times a week, Umm…No. We don’t Airbnb…Does The Marriott, Residents Inn, or Hilton?

They want to rent an extended stay apartment and think going through this trendy service is somehow better.

Renting a temporary place to live whether a hotel room to rent for a night or a fully furnished apartment for a year, it is not a cheap proposition. It is housing after all, and not just an empty room but full of all the things and services that make a pretty box livable.  These costs can add up once all combined.

Why would you add extra fees that give you nothing in return?

Is your stay a night or two? Adding $15-30 for an Airbnb may not really bother you much. The host may not be collecting the 17-20% hospitality tax. If not the cost may be about the same as a local hotel. If you need to book a stay of 30, 60 or 365 days those extra fees to Airbnb can really add up! Hundreds or thousands of extra dollars.

Airbnb is the New Craigslist.

Maybe you haven’t realized this yet, but Airbnb home stays gained popularity about the same time Craigslist started getting bad publicity.  The actions of a few unsavory characters did a real number on this popular sublet/temporary stay service.  Only a very few cause the problems these services have. It is still inevitable when you have a mostly unregulated system.

HomeLinkCincinnati does not charge “booking fees” like Airbnb.

Unlike Homeaway, Tripadvisor,VRBO, Airbnb or any of the other 1-800 booking engines, we don’t spend millions of dollars in advertising so we don’t need to charge booking fees.

We are happy to help you find the perfect short term rental for your temporary stay in Cincinnati. If your stay is for 30 days or 365,  we won’t over charge you for fees nor will we add hospitality taxes.

Our prices are all inclusive; no up-selling, surprise fees or advertising charges.

We want any surprises you get with HomeLinkCincinnati Corporate Housing & Furnished Apartments to be pleasant ones!  Contact us today for more information.
